Dob Gill Waterfalls

Dob Gill Waterfalls are situated in attractive coniferous woodland on the west bank of Thirlmere Reservoir. Dob Gill exits from quiet and scenic Harrop Tarn dropping down over a series of waterfalls in a ravine to join Thirlmere.
The route to Dob Gill Waterfalls
Length - about 1 mile
*Commence from the Dob Gill Car Park (OS grid ref:- NY 316139) around a kilometre along the road from Wythburn on the western bank of Thirlmere, (this is a pay and display car park). Take the footpath that ascends through woodland from the back of the car park.
*Follow the obvious stone path uphill, passing through a gate in a stone wall and heading to the right of a large rocky crag (at the initial section of this walk the path rises steeply), continue along the path until reaching the waterfalls.
*Retrace your steps to reurn or continue along the path to Harrop Tarn
