Spout Force

Spout Force waterfall lies in the beautiful Whinlatter Forest Park, a largely coniferous forest which was planted shortly after World War I offering some superb scenery.
The waterfall can be seen from a viewing platform. Aiken Beck descends dramatically over a cliff of around a height of thirteen metres to drop into a plunge pool below.
A walk to Spout Force
Distance around 500 metres
*The pleasant short walk to the Spout Force falls takes about twenty five minutes.
*from the parking area by the old quarry, which is situated two miles from the Whinltter Visitor Centre on the B5282, Whinlatter Pass road.(Alternative parking is available at the car park just beyond the quarry)
*To reach the falls, from the parking area, proceed along the course of the path which follows Aiken Beck upstream.
*On reaching a steep stepped footpath which rises up through the trees, ascend to the viewpoint over the falls.
*Retrace your steps to return to the car park.
*There is an alternative two mile round marked walk to the falls through attractive Forestry Commission woodland.
